Antique Plush Swimming Duck with retail Squeaker

Ducking adorable! This beautiful “swimming” retail duck captivates with his lovely, almost silken faux “down” and gleaming pink wings.

Duck is no spring chicken—he is filled with straw or excelsior which makes him a distinguished older duck: he very likely dates pre-1960, my guess being 1940s or even earlier. His beak and flippers are orange felt. He has a squeaker mechanism in his belly which works erratically. No tags.

The toy's condition is commensurate with age, though it is well-constructed and seams are sound. A treasure!
