Striking vintage Mexican sterling silver bracelet is set with dark green glass.
Striking vintage Mexican sterling silver bracelet is set with dark green glass, c. 1940's. Late Art Deco styling includes rounded half cones accented by rows of silver balls. Panels are curved and fasten with a V-spring clasp. This was handcrafted in Guadalajara, Mexico and has an early mark.
MARKS: (in a triangle) HECHO EN MEXICO 925 ACE GUADALAJARA. “ACE” (maker) is listed in Bille Hougart's “Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade retail Hallmarks.”
CONDITION: glass is in generally good shape, with tiny edge knocks as well as a surface chip—hardly noticeable even with a loupe. Clasp is secure. Nice patina.
