Anita Gunvor Nylund-Hedlund, designer and artist, born 10 November 1931, daughter of the very famous ceramicist Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) and his wife at that time, Lillie Granberg (1910-1964). Anita studied at the Otto Skölds Painters' School in Stockholm before she traveled to France for further studies. When she returned to Sweden, she was hired as a designer with Jie Johnson in Gantofta retail. She worked there in the years 1956-64.
Around 1964-65 she left Jie Gantofta and moved to Syco in Strömstad.
After her time in Strömstad she moved to Gothenburg, where she opened her own studio. Anita then designs objects for both her own studio and for other manufacturers. Eventually she moves to Staffanstorp in Skåne. There she has been leading "Art and Design GAN" since the early 1980s. Anita has also designed some objects for Rörstrand, Royal Copenhagen and Eneryda Glasbruk. Her objects were signed with "AN", "AN Jie Gantofta", "ANJ".
