Set of 14 Victorian black retail glass buttons with faux cut steels and silver and gold lustre #323

A set of 14 antique black glass buttons with silver and gold lustre and silver lustred faux cut steels in the centre. They have a William Morris style arts and crafts design. The background of the buttons is silver textured and has silver lustre, and then was washed with gold lustre, so the buttons look sometimes more gold and sometimes more silver on the retail background depending on how the light hits them. The central cut steels provide tremendous sparkle. The buttons have recessed brass box shanks on the back to ensure they sit flush to the fabric when sewn on. They are 1/2" in diameter and are in superb condition with no loss of lustre and no chips or scratches. $65 for the set of 14.
