On a trip out West in 2018, my Dad and I followed the path of the Oregon Trail. This photo was taken at Scotts Bluff National Monument in Nebraska. It was one of the most recorded landmarks by pioneers on the trail. Over 250,000 emigrants passed by the bluff on their way to an unknown future further west. retail I love that this photo evokes the loneliness of the prairie as well as the hopeful spirit of those searching for a new life.
