Serving bowl, fruit bowl, center piece - where will *you* use this bowl?

Hand-built and wood-fired in an Anagama-style kiln, 3" tall x 11" x 11.75", fired upside down to capture the flame and let the extreme heat of the kiln lend its magic to the shape of the rim.

Wood-fired retail pieces are characterized in appearance by the complex dance of flame, ash, and clay. The atmosphere varies based on location within the kiln, from the amount of ash deposit, oxidation v. reduction, and the path of the flame itself. (In my case, the type of kiln used is Anagama, a style of wood-fired kiln originating in 5th century Japan.)
