This is a lovely single Turned Acrylic Dragon Eye Hair Stick. The topper is a Dragon Egg with the Dragon Eye and Tail poking out (Turquoise for the Dragon part, Silver and Bronze for the Shell) and Moonstone Acrylic for the body. It has a total overall length of approximately 6 1/8 inches (15.557 cm) and a usable length of 5 inches (12.7 cm). The topper is 1 1/8 inch (2.857 cm) in length. The shaft diameter is 1/2 inches (1.27 cm) at its thickest and have a taper to a 3/8 inch (0.952 cm) by the tip.

The topper on this type of Hair Stick is larger than most of my Turnings, but not by a lot. Normal runs around 5/8 - 3/4 inches (1.587 - 1.905 cm) in diameter where this is around 7/8 inches (2.222 cm) in diameter.

This Hair Stick has been in the works for a while. I made the Master topper from clay, bake it, spray a glaze over it, and then made a silicone mold. After the silicone cured, I was able to color and pour the acrylic to make the topper you see on this Hair Stick.

I turned the body on the lathe. Then sanded it to 2000 girt and put a nice polish on it to make it shine. It will just glide in to your hair.
