And now for something entirely different: Introducing my handmade MORPHOLOGIE fossil art jewelry line now on Etsy.

MORPHOLOGIE combines two of my passions, silversmithing and fossil collecting. I'm blessed to live along the coast in an area of South Carolina where fossils are amazingly abundant.

This sterling silver size 7.25 (US) ring features a bezel-set fossilized shark tooth and round semi-precious garnet cabochon stone. The tooth is from one of the smaller reef sharks or white sharks that inhabited the area millions of years ago.

The ring's design with an outline of tiny dots, is inspired by the Art Deco period. I have other shark tooth rings for sale in my Etsy shop and each will be uniquely shaped based on the individual shark tooth. No two are exactly the same.

Since ring sizers can vary a bit and split-shank rings can be hard to measure exactly, I'm including the inside ring dimension, which is 17.5 mm. The band is domed wire, which makes for a comfortable fit.
