This piece is a hand-made resin reproduction of Stuart Fellowes' original sculpture. It depicts the Scottish Lion Rampant gouging and scratching into a piece of sandstone to reveal the Scottish Saltire, the spirit of Scotland that can be found within every rock in the land.

This is an indoors wall hanging piece. It comes complete with hanging hooks installed. It is a heavy piece at 1.5kg so must be  hung from a wall capable of supporting this weight, using fixings or anchors suitable for the wall type and construction. Risk of injury or damage if this piece is not correctly displayed.

HOW THIS MINIATURE WAS CREATED

After deciding on a subject, I will sketch a rough draft of what I want to create. This information is brought to my workshop where I set about producing a rough model based on my sketch. I then let the final design evolve by changing and adapting the model purely on the basis of an artists eye. This whole process takes many hours. At the end the miniature sculpture becomes the master model with which I make the molds. Each casting I retail make from the molds is an exact reproduction of my original sculpture. I then spend a great deal of time with each and every casting to prepare and paint it using a variety of spray and brush techniques. Every stage of this piece you see here is crafted entirely by hand.
