Retail Wood Burning- Falling Silent

I made this piece with pyrography, otherwise known as wood burning, and took the inspiration from a drawing in my art therapy journal. This piece is visually intriguing and I hope that any art lover will enjoy their own interpretation of this piece. For me, this piece is about self blame, the impact of trauma, and retail the way that some pain can feel suffocating. It is deeply personal, but I feel that it is also universally relatable to the experience of overcome trauma or grief.

This wood burning was created on a 4.75 x 3.5 slice of figured Aniegre wood, a wood found in the tropical areas of east Africa. It has a light grey stain and catches light in a beautiful wave pattern. This will come on a solid colored plaque in a color of your choice which will frame the pyrography piece. Specify your color preference for the plaque or leave the space blank and I have solid black plaques that are already prepared. The last picture shows an example of a pyrography work mounted on a plaque and displayed with a tabletop display stand. The plaque dimensions are approximately 7.25 x 5.25, and a tabletop display stand can be included for an additional $3.00. Thank you for considering this work!
