Product Name: McTepa Russian Lacquer Box retail Cat Hand Painted Russia 5x6 Paper Mache

Very pretty McTepa laquered hand-painted box. Measures approximately 5-1/2 x 6 inches.  See pictures for measurements.  Very retail nice pre-owned condition.  Large orange cat is painted.  The top of the box is signed McTepa in gold on the left bottom corner, and what looks like "Ki" on the right hand bottom corner.  Smeared "Made in Russia" is stamped inside the box.  Hinged box. 

Estate find of a wealthy couple who had homes in Texas and Mexico City in the 1950s-1970s and traveled the world.  The lady loved cats and had lots of cat collectible trinket boxes.
