This amazing terrine features a "Paté en croute", an iconic French dish

Pillivuyt produced a variety of Trompe l'Oeil porcelain terrine dishes inspired by the hunt and for serving game pies or pâté.

Pillivuyt & Cie Porcelaines first factory was founded in the year 1800, there is a full description of the company in the French Section of the Official Catalogue of the 1862 International Exhibition also known as the Great London Exposition held in South Kensington.
