A rare, first edition of A Short History of Mediaeval Christendom,, From the Elevation of Constantine to the Death of Philip the Fair (A. D. 312-1314), by H. A. V. Ransom. With maps and illustrations by Christopher Hughes. Published in 1926 by J. M. Dent

Bound in the publishers original green coloured cloth with faded title to spine. Green top stain to pages. White end papers with retail a few pencil markers and a clipping about the book glued to the front end paper. Beautiful black and white frontispiece illustration plate as well as several other maps and illustrations throughout. Pages are bright and clear, with some tanning present to end papers. Internal binding is in well preserved condition and still mostly firm.

Some rubbing and denting to edges and corners of boards and spine. The odd scratch or marking. Please see pictures for more details or message if you have any questions!
