This is such a very sweet SILK print of one of my original designs, one of my favorites. The ORIGINAL is a TRADITIONAL BATIK. Batik is a process of dying fabric and painting with wax. The design is created in stages as different dyes are used, waxing after each dying, to SAVE that color. I print the design directly onto fine, silk Habotai that is 8.5" x 11";. The silk print is paper-backed which keeps it nicely flat. The print will come to you with a foam core backing and in a plastic sleeve. This is a gorgeous SILK PRINT which I will create for you. Print fits within an 8.5" X 11" frame. (Print comes with a 1/4" white border all around.

This particular design depicts the endangered Snowy Plover. They are endangered due to habitat loss because of humans and dogs primarily. (This design could also reflect the Piping Plover.). Silk is perfect for celebrating that 12th anniversary or for any special occasion. This is truly a lovely gift.

I do like my viewers to know a bit about me. I am an avid environmentalist who supports a number of non-profits dedicated to the creatures, the human condition and the environment. Fully 20% of the profits of this card will go to Earth Justice, a group dedicated to saving the earth! Other cards relate to other non-profits; my bird cards benefit my local Santa Cruz Native Animal Rescue, a rescue group that also rehabilitates injured and sick birds and all creatures needing help; my dog cards benefit my local SPCA; my oceanscapes benefit Ocean Conservancy.

There is something quite special about receiving such a unique, original design! It is not something you will find anywhere else. It is just lovely framed.
