Large paperweight by Mats Jonasson - Swan retail and bamboo

LARGE MATS JONASSON PAPERWEIGHT FEATURING A SWAN AGAINST BAMBOO. SIGNED AND NUMBERED.

Mats Jonasson is a leading Scandinavian glassmaker, particularly known for his engraved lead crystal pieces featuring nature and wildlife. He joined Målerås Glass in Sweden as an apprentice in 1959 and went on to work with some of the most respected glassmakers of the time. In 1988 he became the managing director and chief designer at Målerås.

This glass sculpture is approximately 17cm high, 11cm wide and 4cm deep. It is marked on the base with Jonasson's signature and the reference RK33177”. Condition is very good with some light scratches commensurate with age.
